Tax Document Organzier

To ensure that we have everything we need to process your tax return quickly, make sure that you bring EVERYTHING THAT APPLIES to your situation.

Personal Information

  • Last year’s tax return (if we did not prepare it)
  • Date of birth for everyone on the return
  • Social Security cards or ITIN numbers for you, your spouse, and dependents
  • Bank account and routing numbers (Mandatory for 2026 tax year filing)

Income Documents

Please bring all income-related forms you received, including:

  • W-2 forms (employment income)
  • 1099 forms (independent contractor, freelance, retirement, unemployment, etc.)
  • Social Security income statements (SSA-1099)
  • Investment income forms (1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-B)
  • Rental property income records
  • Business income records

Small Business Owners / Self-Employed

If you own a business or are self-employed, please bring:

  • Profit and loss statements
  • Business expense records
  • Mileage logs
  • Payroll records (if applicable)
  • Business-related receipts
  • Prior year business tax returns

Deduction & Credit Information

Bring documentation for any deductions or credits you may qualify for, such as:

  • Mortgage interest statements
  • Property tax records
  • Childcare expenses
  • Education expenses (1098-T)
  • Medical expenses
  • Charitable donations
  • Retirement contributions
  • Health insurance forms (1095-A, B, or C)
